True Dual Exhaust System
True Dual Exhaust is when you run two separate pipes all the way to the back. They never merge, and they reduce back pressure, therefore providing better performance, and some people say that they sound better.
- H-pipes – Sometimes a popping noise occurs due to exhaust pulses. The H-pipe was designed to quiet this problem. They also help increase power.
- X-pipes – Rather than just connecting the pipes, the X-pipe actually merges both pipes together. The exhaust is allowed to travel in both pipes. It is even quieter than an H-pipe.
- Y-pipe – Two pipes lead into one bigger pipe. Sound is also reduced as the exhaust combines into the one tube. Due to a vacuum effect, you also receive a cleaner burn.
- Flexpipe – Between the catalytic converter and the manifold, is the flexpipe. If it starts to rust, it may get noisy and need to be repaired.
